Finding internet connections wasn't a problem in Thailand, but keeping reliable internet sometimes was. It came and went, and we often had to wander to a bar or restaurant to find an alternative. Utopia Suites had a connection that failed for the month we were in Koh Tao, but we got the WiFi password for an internet cafe across the street and I boosted the signal with our own router. Pandora on Koh Samui had a pretty solid IT setup, but their firewalls prevented me from doing some of my more nerdy SSH stuff so we moved on, and on, and on. If you're in Bali, I highly recommend S'cape in Sanur. It's a bargain compared to the hotels and the place is fantastic with a solid connection. Have a look at the links and if you've got a question, maybe we can help sort you out. Have a great trip!PS. It was a Dell. The graphics card fried, repeatedly. Poor fan/heat management. Was the bane of my existence for a few months. All better now with a new HP out of Malaysia. :)PPS. Kelly's sporting a macbook pro which is a little furnace in itself. She actually got burns on her legs from it a few months back and had to get a laptop stand/pad. Gear has definitely been a bit of a struggle at times throughout the last year!

Most of the places we’ve stayed <a

Was just wondering: where exactly did you stay in Koh Samui and Koh Tao? Same question for Bali. We have some places in mind, but it is always nice to check with fellow travellers with similar needs (As a webdesigner I definitely need some workable internet)And second question: which computer does Mike have? To make sure I never buy that brand :). I hope it isn't a mac..

We’re about to set of our nomadic adventure in a month.
